Baltimore police have identified the woman killed in a July stabbing on West Baltimore Street and announced a first-degree murder charge in the case.
Southwest District officers responded to the 3200 block of West Baltimore Street at approximately 8 p.m. July 25 and found Brielle Handy, 18, suffering from a stab wound, according to police. Handy was transported to Shock Trauma and pronounced dead.
Baltimore Police says Warrant Apprehension detectives arrested 34-year-old Dasianne Richardson on August 1. Richardson was charged with first-degree murder and transported to the Central Booking Intake Facility. The charge remains an allegation; the department's August 3 release does not identify a plea, hearing date or case disposition.
